Will kill self if punished, says 11-time-vaccinated man | India News – Times of India

MADHEPURA: Octogenarian Brahmdeo Mandal, who took multiple Covid shots, is now hiding in fear of arrest in connection with an FIR lodged against him on charges of misleading the health department. He has threatened to kill himself by suicide if he is prosecuted.
According to sources, Mandal has been booked for using different ID cards to receive 11 vaccine shots, and police are conducting raids to apprehend him. He has not turned on his cell phone since police raided his home in Bihar’s Madhepura district, on Sunday. The 84-year-old has also pleaded with PM Narendra Modi to intervene and clear him of the charges.
Nirmala Devi, Mandal’s wife, accused police of “harassing her like a criminal”. She said her husband suffered from several ailments and was unable to stand upright or walk. “He felt a glimmer of hope after getting the first jab. He’s now completely cured as a result of the shots.”
However, in a written complaint to the Puraini SHO, the person in charge of the local primary health centre has alleged that Mandal used multiple ID cards to obtain Covid vaccine shots on purpose and fraudulently.
