Basic Troubleshoot
There are certain things you have to confirm about your device that are needed to begin the fixing process. Let’s start with the basic one. Enable your device’s cellular data/Wi-Fi to ensure an active internet plan. - Launch the WhatsApp app info page
- Choose ‘Mobile data & Wi-Fi.’
- Check if Background data is enabled.

Disable the Android Battery Saver

Reinstall the app
Deleting and reinstalling Whatsapp from the device is another troubleshooting solution that is worth trying out. To do this follow the steps mentioned below:
- Go to Play Store
- Launch the WhatsApp info page
- Tap on the Uninstall button to remove the app and its data from your device.
- Reinstall the app
- Setup your account and check if the calls notify you when the device is locked
Update your device’s Android version
If all the above troubleshooting methods fail to get WhatsApp call notifications on your device then try updating your device’s operating system to the latest version. To do that follow these steps:
