Virat Kohli Personal Life

Virat Kohli’s full name is Virat Kohli. He was born on 5 November 1988 in Delhi, India. His Father Prem Kohli was a criminal Lawyer and Mother Saroj Kohli is a housewife. He has two siblings: an elder sister, Bhavna and an elder brother, Vikas.

He is a sports enthusiast. He loves playing cricket, football and badminton. He says that if he wasn’t a cricketer, he would have been a footballer.

He is also a fitness freak, who works out in the gym regularly and maintains his healthy diet.

Wife and Daughter

Virat Kohli got married to Actress Anushka Sharma in 2017, after a long dating period of about three year. In 2020 they were blessed with a baby girl. They named her Vamika.

Interest as a Cricketer

He had grown interest in cricket at the age of three. Later, Seeing his interest in cricket his father has enrolled him in cricket academy. In 1998, He went to West Delhi Cricket Acedemy in Delhi, where he was trained as a batsman. His father has passed away early, He was just a Ranji player back then. He played for various school teams, including All India Public Schools’ team at different levels.

In 2014, Kohli was appointed as the captain of India’s Test team after MS Dhoni left captaincy in the middle of the series against Australia. He went on to score a century in first innings of his captaincy debut. He became the Fourth ever person to do so He is so far fourth in the list of most successful test captains. He ended up playing 67 matches as test captain out of them winning 40 and losing 17 matches, 11 of them ended as draw. Kohli made his ODI debut in 2013. He led team Indian in 95 matches won 65 and ended up 27 on losing side. He has a win percentage of 70.43

Year 2022 has not gone a good IPL season for the player. He has struggled a lot to gain form in the season. Only two big innings came against Gujrat Lions for Virat. Hope he get his good touch soon.
