Uttar Pradesh: Sacked staffers kidnap 8-year-old son of employer, murder him | Meerut News – Times of India

MEERUT: Shadab Jarrah, 8, was allegedly abducted and killed by two former assistants of his father, a clinic owner in Bulandshahr. Cops recovered the body of the boy from a water reservoir near Aligarh.
They claimed that the accused were upset about being fired from their jobs and wanted to take revenge. “They demanded Rs 5 lakh ransom from the father. After he failed to pay, they killed the child,” said CO of Dibai Vandana Sharma.
Police said they received a missing person complaint from the child’s father, Farid Jarrah, on January 28. He said that his son had disappeared from outside his house in the Azadpur locality, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Chhatari police station. Once the family told cops about the ransom demand, five teams were formed to trace the boy.
“After gathering preliminary evidence, two suspects, Nijam and Shahid (first names only), were taken into custody for interrogation. The duo informed us about the location of the boy’s body. We recovered it on Sunday,” the CO said.
The accused used to work as compounders in the clinic of the boy’s father. He had fired them for misconduct around two years ago.
