Toyota Hilux Price in India: India bound Toyota Hilux unveiled, launch in March 2022 | – Times of India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Thursday unveiled the long-awaited Toyota Hilux pickup truck in India. Customers can pre-book the pick-up by paying an initial amount of Rs 1 lakh at any authorized dealer or ₹50,000 on the online platform. The car will be assembled locally at the company’s Bangalore facility and deliveries are scheduled to commence from April 2022.
Toyota Hilux: Exterior Design
The Toyota Hilux offers a macho design along with a practical cabin and a large loading deck. The design element on the front is similar to the Toyota Fortuner. Toyota Hilux is based on the same IMV2 architecture that also underpins Innova Crysta and Fortuner. It gets a muscular front fascia with a piano-black trapezoidal grill with muscular bumpers, thick chrome lining and silver skid plate. The LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights add visual appeal to the Hilux. The double-cab pickup truck gets multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and vertically stacked taillights.
Toyota Hilux is available in five different colours: Emotional Red, Gray Metallic, White Pearl CS, Silver Metallic, and Super White.
In terms of dimensions, the new Hilux pickup truck is 5.3 meters long and has a wheelbase of 3,085 mm.
Toyota Hilux: Interior and Features
The interior of the Toyota Hilux looks like it has taken inspiration from the Toyota Fortuner. It gets an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, leather seats, driver armrest with storage,dual-zone automatic climate control, semi-digital instrumental cluster, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, push-button start, etc.
Toyota Hilux: Safety
The safety features on the Hilux include front and side airbags, ABD, EBD, hill assist control, variable flow control that makes steering heavier at higher speeds, Eco and Power driving modes, tyre angle monitor, and more.
Toyota Hilux: Engine and Transmission
Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that produces 201 bhp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. Gearbox options include a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The Hilux also comes with provisions such as a 4X4 drivetrain, limited-slip differential, electronic differential lock, and active traction control.
Toyota Hilux: Pricing and Rivals
Toyota Hilux will compete against Isuzu V-Cross in India, making it the second pick-up to be on sale in the passenger vehicle segment. The Hilux might get a price tag between ₹25 to ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom), which will be announced later in March 2022.
