Rahul Rajasekharan on new year resolutions and his vision for a healthy 2022! – Beauty Pageants – Indiatimes

Shouldering a billion dreams, India’s Rahul Rajasekharan set sail to represent India at the prestigious Mister Supranational contest, and he did us proud by winning the title, Mister Supranational Asia 2021.

He is an ideal role model of hard work and determination, showing his prowess in various fields, be it the corporate industry, modeling, or acting; he conquered it all. Today as we begin a new year, Rahul gets candid on his successful stride in 2021, his vision for a healthy tomorrow, his future plans, and more.

2021 has surely been a year filled with surprises for you, from winning the national contest to being sashed Mister Supranational Asia 2021. So how would you describe the year 2021?

2021 has been very lucky for me because firstly, I got to represent India, which has been my dream for over 4-5 years, and secondly, being there with all the other contestants interacting with them, getting to know every country because you’re on a platform where there are no borders, no religions, no cultural bridges, there is one family. So being able to experience something like that, especially during a pandemic when things are not so good around the world, was a powerful experience.

I was quite lucky enough to meet these gentlemen and even the organization. And apart from that, I was fortunate to travel to a lot of places this year. So in a word, 2021 was interesting.

You have been an inspiration to many with your fitness tips, and the motivation they receive from seeing you work hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle is admirable. So, what is your vision for a healthy tomorrow, for a healthy 2022?

Well, my vision is very simple. With the help of social media, Instagram Facebook, I’m trying to show people how by consuming the most basic food, which is available at home or your nearest grocery store, you can still lead a very healthy lifestyle, it doesn’t have to be very fancy, it doesn’t have to be expensive. These days, the minute you put healthy into your diet, everybody automatically thinks it becomes pricey, and that’s how the world has been marketing it. All these fancy restaurants though they serve the most basic food it becomes most expensive while adding the term healthy to it, so I’m trying to show the world that you can do it at home you can do the most basic stuff and still on a budget constraint you could lead a healthy lifestyle. I’d say like a few nuts, carbs, protein, and that’s all we need to lead a very healthy lifestyle. So far, I’ve been quite happy with the response people have shown because I’ve been doing this for many years now.

While we see you have adapted several goals to stay fit, do you have any new year resolutions?

I never keep any new year resolutions. For me, the resolution could start any time of the year, any time of the week, any time of the day. When I decided I just start, I don’t wait. All these new year calibration and resolutions, I think, it’s absolutely pointless; if you want to start something, start right away instead of waiting for a particular date.

So what are your plans for today?

Switch off my phone and sleep (laughs hard). I don’t like to party or go out, especially on New Year’s, because that’s not how I want to start my year; it’s either with family or touring. Last year I was in Meghalaya; 2-3 years further down, I was in Varanasi all by myself.

So I either plan a solo trip or spend the day with family, that’s about it.

What’s next on the work front? Is Bollywood your next stop?

It doesn’t necessarily have to be Bollywood or the Telugu industry; I’m okay to be a part of any project as long as I fit the role and do justice to it. Currently, in terms of movies or web series, it’s all still in talks, nothing concrete as of now, especially with the whole pandemic situation, but ads keep coming in quite often, so I have been busy with it.

Your Instagram is a treat to our eyes. With so many new places you explore, what are the target countries or cities you plan to visit in 2022?

I’ve visited nearly 22 states in India, and I want to complete the other states along with the union territories. I usually travel over 10 to 12 days, and I make about 6-7 trips a year. So for me, my goal is not a particular place because I want to visit every region of India and the world. Although I don’t have a bucket list, no matter which part of the world I go to, I would love to travel, and most of my travel is chalked out as per my shoots, be it Thailand or northeast, I go there on shoots, and extend my trip. So depending on my following shoot location, I hope to take it from there, But the Leh Ladakh trip is something I look forward to; I’m saving it for a good occasion, probably my 2022 birthday; I’ll take off on a bike ride.

With a heart so pure and vision so clear, Rahul, we hope and pray that you fulfill all your dreams this new year!
