Early life
Prabhakar was born in Husnabad, near Raichur. His family hails from Kondangal of Mahabub Nagar district, Telangana. After studying in Hasnabad, he then shifted to Vikarabad to enroll in Ananta Padmanabha college. His wife Rajya Lakshmi is a homemaker and his son Sriram
Rajamouli was named after the famous director Rajamouli who offered the role of Inkoshi, king of Kalakeyas in Baahubali, and gave him ‘a new life’. He also has another son Ritvik Preetam. He also ventured into a few Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi films. He was born in Husnabad, near Raichur.

After primary education, he shifted to Vikarabad to study at Ananta Padmanabha college. S S Rajamouli offered him the role of antagonist in his film, Maryada Ramanna. After that movie, he got plenty of movies back to back. He got nationwide popularity after his role in Baahubali. His look in Baahubali was revealed on May 11th on Twitter by SS Rajamouli and also Prabhakar got good appreciation for his look. He married Rajya Lakshmi and has two children. His elder son is Sriram Rajamouli, named after filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s younger brother is Ritvik Preetam.
Career
Prabhakar played a minor role as the villain in Mahesh Babu’s Athidi, directed by Surender Reddy and supporting artiste in his earlier career. His first breakthrough film as an actor came in 2010 with Maryada Ramanna, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. He also acted in Gabbar Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, Dookudu, Aagadu, Lion, and many more, which played well at the box office.
Prabhakar gained recognition following his appearance as a Kalakeya in Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), following which he came to be known as Kalakeya Prabhakar.
In 2016, he appeared in Sarrainodu which became the third highest-grossing Telugu film that year. He also starred in Right Right, directed by Manu, starring Sumanth Ashwin and Pooja Zaveri where he played an important role. He has appeared in over 180 films.
