Pankaj Tripathi was born on 5th September 1976 in Belsand (Bihar). The name of his father is Pandit Benares Tripathi. He belonged to a Hindu brahmin family, The name of her mother is Hemwanti Tripathi. Pankaj used to work as a farmer during his childhood. He usually was a participant in his village Nataks (Play). He used to play women roles in the plays. The villagers were very found of his acting skills. His belief in acting made strong with that.
Tripathi said: “I used to play many roles and was very popular in the village for my acting skills. I thought why not try my luck in movies?” Tripathi left his home town at the age of 15 and moved to Delhi. He did a lot of odd jobs before pursuing a career as an actor. Pankaj’s parents came to terms with his decision and were very supportive of his lifestyle choice.
Love and Wife
He was in 10th standard when he first meet love of his life Mridula. Pankaj met her in his Sister’s wedding. He didn’t even know her name at that time and he thought of spending his whole life with her.
It was a long distance relationship as she was living in Kolkata and he is studying in Delhi. It all continued for an year and they decided to get married. They have a daughter together named Aashi Tripathi.
Struggling Days
After completing his studies, he went back to Patna to work in theatres. Later he decided to shift to Mumbai as he didn’t figure out any acting development for him. He moved to Mumbai with his earning from theatre ₹46000, It all ran out in just three months.
He used to visit offices in search for any kind of acting work. It was his wife, who showed support to him. She worked as teacher to bear house expenses.
