‘It’s euphoric to win an award for outstanding performance,’ exclaims Sushmita Sen – BeautyPageants

Basking in the glory of her latest triumph, Sushmita Sen is overwhelmed with the love and wishes that have been pouring in. The diva has acquired global recognition by winning the International Association of Working Women Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series presented by DC South Asian Film Festival 2021!

Aarya 2, helmed by Ram Madhvani, was recently released on Disney+ Hotstar with Sushmita essaying the lead role and received great reviews from the critics and audience alike for the power-packed performance.

Opening up about her incredible win, Sushmita said, “I am overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation being showered on Aarya 2. The entire team has worked strenuously to put together a work of art that would be loved by everyone. It’s euphoric to win the International Association of Working Women Award for an outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series. I would like to thank the organizers of the DC South Asian Film Festival for bestowing this honour on me and the entire team. This is surreal!”

Being recognised with an international award is indeed an unbelievable moment, and Sushmita truly deserves every bit of it for her fabulous performance in the action-drama series that also marked her return to acting after a hiatus. Aarya was nominated at International Emmys 2021 in the Best Drama Series category; however, they lost the award to Tehran.
