NEW DELHI: 125 passengers who arrived at Amritsar airport from Milan on a chartered flight have tested for Covid-19.
The flight, operated by Portuguese company EuroAtlantic Airways, landed in Amritsar around 1:30pm on Wednesday with 179 passengers.
Since Italy is categorised as “at risk” country by the Union health ministry, RT-PCR test was conducted for 160 passengers. The remaining 19 were children or infants, and were hence exempt for the test.
The flight, operated by Portuguese company EuroAtlantic Airways, landed in Amritsar around 1:30pm on Wednesday with 179 passengers.

The test results have come positive for 125 of the 160 who were tested.
Earlier, some reports had incorrectly suggested that the flight was operated by Air India.
Amritsar airport director VK Seth clarified that YU-661 was a chartere flight, and nor operated by Air India.
