congress: PM Narendra Modi hits out at opposition parties at Punjab rally, calls AAP a photocopy of Congress | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Addressing a rally in Punjab‘s Pathankot on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at Congress and AAP. He called AAP a photocopy of Congress, adding that while AAP is involved in several scams in Delhi, the Congress party has looted Punjab.
The Prime Minister also said that the Congress and AAP are merely pretending to be against each other.
He also claimed that while the BJP sees Punjab from the “Punjabiyat angle”, other parties see it only through a “political prism”. PM Modi also accused the Congress and AAP of speaking the voice of Pakistan – be it Ram Mandir issue or matter related to soldiers of the country.
He also invoked Sant Ravidas and said his government was following his ideals, and that the welfare of the poor was above everything else for it.
The prime minister reached Pathankot to attend the rally after offering prayers at the Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir in Delhi’s Karol Bagh on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti.
The voting for assembly elections in Punjab is scheduled for February 20.
