bjp: ‘Who is accepting it?’ Akhilesh Yadav on BJP’s ‘invite’ to RLD’s Jayant Chaudhary | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday denied any possibility of a post-poll alliance between the BJP and the Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Jayant Chaudhary.
Addressing a joint press conference with ally Jayant Chaudhary, Akhilesh mocked BJP’s outreach to RLD saying, “Who is accepting their invitation?”
“Imagine the condition they’re in that they have to send invites now,” he added.
His comments came a day after Union home minister Amit Shah said that the RLD chief had “chosen the wrong home” and that “doors were still open for him, even after polls.
Jayant Chaudhary said his party’s alliance with the SP is “solid” and aimed at furthering the cause of farmers.
“Our confluence had taken place much earlier. We want UP to develop and have forged the alliance as we want to take the fight of Chaudhary Charan Singh ahead,” Jayant said.
Earlier today, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that his chopper was not allowed to take off from Delhi for Muzaffarnagar, where he was scheduled to address a rally.
Tweeting a picture of himself in front of the chopper, Akhilesh said that no reason has been given for disallowing the flight, while a top BJP leader was allowed to fly from Delhi.
In a retort, UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya hit back saying that the people had “grounded” SP in 2014 itself, in a reference to the winning mandate the BJP received in that year’s Lok Sabha election.
