Actor Cochin Haneefa passed away on February 2nd, 2010, and was laid to rest with full state honors at the Central Juma Masjid in Ernakulam. Having acted in over 300 Malayalam films, Cochin Haneefa is still living in people’s memories through his wonderful performances as the characters Haidrose in ‘Kireedam’, Gangadharan in the film ‘Punjabi House’, Eldho in ‘Mannar Mathai Speaking’ and several others.
