A good news for all government job candidate who apply to Uttar Pradesh (UP). The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the official notification pdf for UPPSC PCS 2020 exma to recruit the 200 vacancies through Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination-2020. The commission had restart working on April 20, 2020 and released the UPPSC PCS notification as the the schedule of its calendar. UPPCS is the exam conducting body of UP Government which conducts different examination in the state.



UPPSC PCS 2020 Exam Dates

The exam  date for UPPSC PCS  and ACF/ RFO 2020 exam has been   released by UPPSC  along  with its official calendar but due to  ambiguity in the  execution of the plan because of the   coronavirus  pandemic and the consequent  lockdown it can be delayed.  The Prelims exam is conditionally scheduled to be held on 21st June.  The other important dates related to Online Application are given below.   However, given below are conditionally dates for UPPSC  2020 PCS  and  ACF/ RFO exam:

Educational Qualifications for UPPSC PCS
For the posts included in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, the candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of application. The post wise educational qualification is given below:

Range Forest Officer of Forest A Bachelor’s Degree with two or more of the subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Geology, Agriculture, Statistics, Horticulture and Environment or Bechelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from a University established by Law in India or possess a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto

7. Assistant Labour Commissioner Degree in Arts with Sociology or Economics as a subject or Commerce/Law.

8. District Programme Officer Degree in Sociology or Social Science or Home Science or Social Work.

9. Senior Lecturer, DIET Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed.

10. District Probation Officer Post Graduate Degree in Psychology or Sociology or Social Work or any qualification equivalent thereto or Post Graduate Diploma in any Branch of Social Work from any recognised Institute of Social Work.

11. Designated Officer / Food Safety Officer (1) Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry as one of the subjects from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto, or
(2) Atleast one of qualification prescribed for Direct Recruitment to the post of Food Safety Officer given as below:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognised University, or any other equivalent/recognised qualification notified by the Central Government, Provided that no person who has any financial Interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety Officer.

12. Statistical officer Post Graduate Degree in mathematics or Mathematical Statistics or Statistics or Agricultural Statistics from an university recognized by Law in India or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

UPPCS Pay Scale:
The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services examination except the ACF/RFO is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (Naib Tehsildar whose pay scale is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Pay scale Rs. 5400/-

Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination the , grade pay and condition of Post are given as below:
Assistant Conservator of Forest- Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Scale Pay- Rs.5400/-, (Level 10 in the pay matrix Group) Group “B”, Gazette.

Range Forest Officer Services Exam- Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-, Scale Pay – Rs.4800/-, (Level 8 pay matrix 47600 – 151100) Group “B”, Gazette.

UPPSC PCS Selection Procedure

The UPPSC UPPCS prelims and mains exam will be conducted offline across the state. The UPPSC PCS selection procedure has 3 stages:

1. Prelims (objective & MCQ)
2. Mains (Written)
3. Personality Test (Interview)




UPPCS PCS 2020 Exam Pattern:
The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by mains exam & Interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.



UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern

The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2020 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shift. The total marks allocate for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours. The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:

1. Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

3. The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination.



UPPSC PCS Mains Exam Pattern:
The UPPSC PCS mains written examination will consist of six compulsory and two optional Papers. The time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. The Pattern & and syllabus for mains examination is provided below

Personality Test (Interview):

The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute of 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.

UPPCS PCS 2020 Application Form:
The online application process for UPPSC PCS and ACF/ RFO 2020 exam will be done online only, no offline mode this time. The registration has started on 21st April 2020 and ends on 21st May 2020.




UPPCS PCS 2020 Result:
The commission will release the result for each and every stage of the exam. The prelims result will be released once the answer key objections process has been done. As per the notification it is expected to be released in the month of October 2020.



UPPCS PCS 2020 Answer Key:
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission also issues UPPSC PCS answer key for the prelims exam within one month of the exam. The candidates can check their answers and can raise objections on wrong answers in the provisional answer key at the official website of UPPCS.
